Connect Claude to your team’s memory in five minutes

Every Ontonym memory speaks MCP — the open protocol AI tools use to reach outside data. That means Claude can read your memories and write to them, right from a normal chat. Setting it up takes about five minutes, and most of that is finding the settings page.

The steps

• In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
• Paste the server URL: https://mcp.ontonym.com/mcp
• A browser window opens and asks you to sign in to Ontonym. Sign in, approve, done.

That’s the whole thing. No API key to create and paste. Nothing to install on your machine. No config file to edit. The sign-in works like signing in to any app with Google — you approve it once, in the browser.

What you can do after

Ask questions: “what did we decide about the pricing page?” Claude pulls the answer from memory instead of guessing. Save things mid-chat: “remember that Acme’s renewal moved to November” — and the fact is there next week, in a different chat, or in a teammate’s chat if the memory is shared with them.

One thing worth being clear about: Claude sees exactly what you see. Permissions follow your account. A memory you can’t open, your AI can’t open either.
