Terms of Service
Last updated: August 14, 2026
These terms govern your use of Ontonym — shared, structured memories that AI clients read and write over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
The service
Ontonym stores content you and your AI clients deliberately ingest into memories, structures it into an object graph, and serves it back over the web app and MCP. Extraction over MCP runs on your own model; server-side automations run on the model key you configure. We may change, add, or remove features as the product evolves.
Your account
- You are responsible for your credentials — your password, MCP keys, and connected-client tokens. Revoke anything you no longer trust at Settings → MCP keys.
- Keys and tokens act as you: anything ingested or changed through them counts as your use of the service.
Your content
- Your content stays yours. You grant us the license needed to host, process, and serve it back to you, your team members, and — only if you mark a memory public — to anyone.
- Making a memory public is your decision and your responsibility: only publish content you have the right to publish.
- Only ingest content you are allowed to use. Don't ingest other people's personal data without a lawful basis.
Acceptable use
Don't use Ontonym to store or distribute unlawful content, malware, or content that infringes others' rights; don't probe, overload, or disrupt the service; don't attempt to access other tenants' data. We may suspend accounts that do.
Billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe at the prices shown on the pricing page. You can cancel any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. The free tier's limits are shown there too and may change with notice.
Third-party services
Connectors, AI clients, and the model provider whose key you configure are third-party services under their own terms. We aren't responsible for their availability or behavior.
Disclaimer & liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties. Extraction is performed by AI models and may be inaccurate — review what matters. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; where practical we'll warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.
Changes
We'll update these terms as the product evolves and note the date above; material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
