- Non-EU/EEA nationals who must live in Norway to establish and actively run their own business, which as a rule must be a sole proprietorship (not a limited company); applicant must have skilled-worker qualifications (completed vocational training of at least three years at upper-secondary level, or completed higher education such as a bachelor's degree), present a credible business plan, register the business with the Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises (Broennoeysund), and the business must be expected to generate a pre-tax profit of at least about NOK 341,373 per year (income sufficient to support the applicant). Holder may only work in that business.
