- For specialists/experts with an employment contract at a Netherlands employer or research institution that is a sponsor recognised by the IND (only the employer can apply). The salary must meet the IND minimum and be in line with the market rate. 2026 required gross monthly salary (excluding holiday allowance): EUR 5,942.00 for those aged 30 or older; EUR 4,357.00 for those younger than 30; reduced criterion of EUR 3,122.00 for the orientation-year/recently-graduated route.
