- Permanent visa for exceptionally talented migrants – global researchers, entrepreneurs, innovative investors, athletes and creatives who will help create jobs and drive productivity growth in key sectors. No points test and no employer sponsorship required; invitation-only. Replaced the former Global Talent (GTI) program and the Business Innovation and Investment (subclass 188) program. Applicants generally show capacity to earn at/above the Fair Work High Income Threshold (~AUD 183,100 for 2025-26); applicants under 18 or over 55 must demonstrate exceptional benefit to the Australian community.

- Candidates submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and must be invited by the Department of Home Affairs before lodging. Priority 1 and 2 candidates are invited as soon as identified; Priority 3 and 4 candidates are invited monthly. Grants direct permanent residency with no provisional stage. FY2025-26 priority sectors include AgriFood/AgTech, Space and Advanced Manufacturing, Medtech/Pharmaceuticals, Resources Technology and Critical Minerals, Energy and Mining Technology, Defence and Advanced Autonomous Systems, Quantum Computing, Cybersecurity, Financial Services and FinTech, Digital Health and EdTech (sector alignment strengthens the case but is not a strict eligibility gate).
