- Free Trade Zones (a.k.a. SEZs) are licensed, managed and supervised by the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) under the NEPZ Act 1992. Approved enterprises operating within a zone are exempted from all Federal, State and Local Government taxes, rates and levies, benefit from duty-free imports, streamlined business registration, and free-zone fiscal incentives designed to attract FDI; relevant to manufacturing, logistics, technology companies, fintech innovators and digital infrastructure investors.
