Founding Engineer at Gauge

We’re hiring a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to join our team! This role is full-time in San Francisco at our Presidio office. ​Gauge helps companies show up in more AI answers. Search traffic is shifting away from Google into AI chat, and companies are figuring out how to adapt right now. Our system delivers real-time analytics derived from millions of LLM answers, while also providing an intuitive, powerful UX. We generate optimized articles to improve our customers’ visibility, and offer an agentic chat interface over their data (think ‘Why was there a spike on 12/10?’ or ‘Which of my pages should I refresh?’). In this role, you would work on every component in our system to improve the product for customers. You will be expected to turn high-level guidance into high quality, end-to-end features, while making smart investments into the scalability of our platform. You could be building AI agent workflows, high-volume data pipelines, embedded BI tools, or anything else that helps our customers win in AI search.
