AI Engineer at Coast

We’re hiring for our first AI Engineer. Someone who’s excited to own and build all things AI at Coast. You’ll be responsible for designing and building features that make it faster and more powerful to create functional demos. You should have strong instincts for both AI-powered product experiences and the underlying technical systems to make them real. Design and implement agentic workflows that help users generate UI layouts, flows, and content automatically Build AI-powered copilots that assist with creating components, writing code, and refining interfaces Implement RAG systems that leverage documentation, design systems, and component libraries Optimize for speed, determinism, and quality across creative and structured AI outputs Push the boundaries of what’s possible in an AI-first design + build environment Built AI features for design tools (e.g. auto-layout, design-to-code, style transfer) Created developer copilots (e.g. natural language to UI, code completion, intelligent suggestions) Worked with vector graphics, color palettes, or typography AI Integrated AI into design systems, no-code tools, or IDEs Used GPT-4, Claude 3+, and open-source models in production Built adv
