Lead Hardware Engineer at Andromeda Surgical

At Andromeda Surgical we are on a mission to build the “Sous Chef“ for surgeons. Our aim is to eliminate the shortage of healthcare workers (esp surgeons) by converting their profession into pure knowledge work. Our first Gen system has a robot arm that can navigate the patient’s target anatomy precisely with guidance from the Surgeon using an iPad. The Lead Hardware Engineer will be responsible to prototype and productionize novel hardware that seamlessly integrates with our software stack. You will be expected to be part of the whole life cycle of hardware starting from requirement gathering, quick prototyping, vendor selection all the way to small batch manufacturing. Requirements: Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, or Mechatronics technical background and degree. 2 years of experience Prior experience with robotics systems Familiarity with quality systems and engineering documentation involved Hands-on development experience prototyping, testing, and building hardware. Using soldering iron CAD expertise in Solidworks Nice to Have Firmware and embedded experience.
